On WhatsApp, you only see the groups you joined. Here, when one seller closes, the next is already on your screen — with a clock, a menu, a place to collect, and a photo of the food when the seller has added one.

One batch, start to finish.
There are no permanent menus here. A seller opens a batch — what they’re selling, until what time, and where to collect. When the time is up, it closes by itself.
Your order is your business.
In a group chat, ordering means adding yourself to a numbered list everyone can read. Here, what you ordered is seen by two people: you and your seller. You can still see how many people have ordered from a batch — a number, never a name.

One day, this becomes a marketplace for everything students own — sell your old laptop, find cheap textbooks, pass a bicycle on. It is not built yet. Food and errands come first.

Is Kedai Ku an official AIU app?
No. Kedai Ku is built by a few students here who wanted a better way to order food on campus — until now it all lived in group chats and word-of-mouth lists. AIU teaches that learning should become practice and that trust is kept, not claimed; this project is our attempt at both — our amalan, run with amanah. It is not affiliated with, run by, or endorsed by Albukhary International University. But it is only for this campus: you sign in with a university email — @student.aiu.edu.my for students, @aiu.edu.my or @pt.aiu.edu.my for staff — either through Google or with a password.
What does it cost?
Ordering costs you nothing. Kedai Ku never handles the money either — you pay the seller directly, so nothing passes through the app.
How do I pay for my order?
You and your seller agree — cash when you collect, Touch ’n Go, or a bank transfer. Kedai Ku does not take the payment; it records what is owed, and the seller marks it paid once the money reaches them.
Who can see what I ordered?
You and your seller — no one else. There is no list of users and no way to search for a person. The project’s admin can check records when needed — settling a payment dispute, for example — and every admin action is logged.
What is a batch?
One round of selling, with a clock. A seller posts what they’re offering, until when, and where to collect. When the time runs out, ordering closes by itself.
Is there a photo of the food?
Sometimes. A seller can attach one photo to a batch, and it is the food only — no faces, no rooms. Only the seller can add it, and plenty of batches will not have one: an errand runner has nothing to photograph until they get to the shop. A batch without a picture works exactly the same.
How do I become a seller?
Create an account, then apply inside the app. An admin reads every application; approval is what switches selling on.
Who is responsible for the food?
The seller who cooks, buys or carries it. Kedai Ku only connects students and keeps the record. If you have an allergy, ask the seller before you order.
Do I need to install anything?
You don’t have to — Kedai Ku works in the browser your phone already has, and the pages are kept small on purpose, because mobile data costs money. If you would rather keep it with your other apps, look for “Install app” in the menu at the top of this page; it appears when your browser can do it. There is no app store and no APK — it is the same site, on your home screen.
